あらゆる伝染病が移るとは限らない。

jisho includes “contagious disease” in the medical meanings of “伝染病”, is that incorrect?

@ErisCeos

The Japanese sentence is incorrect.

伝染病 = contagious disease (from human to human; from animal to animal; or from animal to human)

感染症 = infectious disease (because of virus or bacteria)

All 伝染病 are 感染症 caused by virus or bacteria. But not all 感染症 are always widely spread to human beings. Athlete’s foot is a good example of 感染症. by which patients only under a bad skin condition is infected though the funguses exist everywhere. On the other hand, COVID-19 and TB are highly contagious 伝染病 and also 感染症.
