Yes, μπουκάλια is bottles! I am also confused by the spelling ήπιο, which I think is a typo for ήπιε. I’ve looked in my Greek verb book and I can’t find ήπιο as a variant.
Clearly the translator is trying to disguise that she, probably Mary, has some issues with the bottle. (Ha!)
