The original Kanji is 仕様がない, but we don’t spell like 解釈の仕様がない. So, don’t try to replace the original sentence with 仕様.
仕様 in Kanji means “the way of doing” or “a how-to description written in a guideline/manual”. しようがない was further evolved from 仕様. In such a case, the Ministry of Education standardized the spelling not to write in Kanji.
