English Translation
She played the piano with enthusiasm.
I know that 「引く」 means to play a stringed instrument, but 引き出す means to pull out or withdraw as far as I know. Can it also mean “to play”?

It’s a homophone. The correct Kanji is 弾く. 弾 is derived from an arrow, and 弾 means “bouncing”, “to flick something with fingers” or “to hit/target at”.
弾く (ひく) therefore means either “to play a string musical instrument such as violin and guitar” or “to strike a key of piano/organ”.
弾 is also used as in 弾丸 (bullet), 弾力性 (elastics), and 糾弾する (to harshly criticize).
By the way, the JP/EN pair doesn’t match. ピアノを弾く means “to play a piano”, but ピアノを弾きだす is “to start playing a piano”.
