English Translation
We are winning this game.
Tip: Some of you might find this Japanese sentence strange, but we actually say this phrase a lot. 頂く (いただく) primarily means “to get a gift from someone” (polite and formal tone). So, この試合は頂きだ means “the victory of this game is going to be given to us (by God)”, and thereby it means “it’s easy to win this game”.
By the way, the English translation posted on Tatoeba is different from the current Clozemaster version.
ID: 221700 – We have this game on ice.
I think “on ice” is closer to the connotation of the Japanese sentence.
