彼は好きじゃない。

English Translation

I don’t like him.

Note: 彼は好きじゃない can be interpreted as either

  1. I don’t like him.
  2. He doesn’t like it.

We say 彼のことは好きじゃない more often than 彼は好きじゃない for the former meaning. So, I would suggest Clozemaster to replace the English translation.

This is just an additional tip, but 彼のこと好きじゃない also works. But the connotation is different from 彼のこと好きじゃない.
彼のこと好きじゃない implies that I like other people, but don’t like him. Particle は implicitly highlights two different situations, and the two are dealt equally (or horizontally).
On the other hand, 彼のこと好きじゃない is said when you are asked “who you don’t like among those people?”. Unlike は, particle が picks up the target that fits the description. It’s a “vertical” selection. “He” and the other people are not dealt equally.
