アジア諸国などから出稼ぎにきた外国人をメイドとして使うのが常識のようになっている。

English Translation

It has become common practise to employ foreigners working abroad from Asian countries as maids.

The TTS audio sounds unnatural. It’s like でかせえぎ, not でかせぎ. Copy the whole sentence and try Google Translate TTS instead. GT pronounces it properly.

I don’t think the English sentence fully captures the meaning of {{出稼ぎ}}. 出稼ぎ means “to leave one’s home town/country and work in a far region temporarily”. 出稼ぎ can be for several months each year (e.g. farmers in the northern region come to Tokyo metropolitan area every winter), or for several years but it’s just one time. But 出稼ぎ always has the nuance of “temporarily” and “suppose to return to the original place in the future”.
