Wordy word-for-word translation although it’s grammatically correct and understandable. My alternative translation is:
このナイフは肉用だ。（このナイフはにくようだ）
○○用 means “for the purpose of ○○ to be used”. A knife is designed to cut something. So, 切るために is very wordy and we usually don’t say that.
