Both the TTS and the transcript are incorrect. きん (kin) alone means “gold”, and かね (kane) is “money”.
Kinは安全な場所にしまっておきなさい = Keep the gold bars in a safe place.
Keep in mind, however. that many of compound words such as 送金 (そうきん; money transfer), 預金 (よきん; deposited money at your bank account); and 罰金 (ばっきん; fine for illegal acts) are not a form of gold metal.
