English Translation
It’s talking about how, thanks to air transport, we’ve lost the sense of ‘season’ for foodstuffs.
食べ物に季節感を感じない is very wordy. ○○感を感じる literally means “to feel the feeling of X”, which is also redundant even in English. My alternative translation is:
空輸のおかげで食べ物の旬を感じなくなった、という話です。(くうゆのおかげでたべものの「しゅん」をかんじなくなった、というはなしです)
旬 is a common expression to describe the best season for food.
I dropped お from 話 because ~というお話です sounds like the speaker undervalues the listeners and is very preachy. You may have learned that お is a prefix for polite expressions. But we also use お to overly express our politeness in an ironical way (i.e. not polite but actually arrogant).
