English Translation
A Mr Smith has come to see you.
The Kanji 見 is incorrect. It should be written in ひらがら「みえています」.
スミスさんという方がおみえです。OR
スミスさんという方がお越しです(おこしです)。/ お越しになっています。
Is better and more frequently used.
みえる (not 見える) is a polite expression of “come over to your place”.
見える in Kanji, on the other hand, means ”to be able to see/look at/watch". Therefore, すみすさんという方が見えています means “I can see a Mr. Smith (through this lens)”, even implying that you are taking an eyesight test.
