Why 万一 is good?

万一 (まんいち) or 万が一 (まんがいち) = One in ten thousands ==> (I don’t think it could happen but) IF…
万一 is used when you project that the probability is quite low.
天気 means just any conditions of weather. But we also say 天気なら (if the weather is good), お天気だった (it was a good weather), 明日はお天気ですか？ (Will it be a good weather tomorrow?) etc. to mean a good weather. These are in colloquial use.
