Does “тише” literally mean “quieter”, not quiet? If so I think this sentence’s translation could be improved, although it probably doesn’t matter a lot in terms of idiomatic usage. In English “quiet” and “quieter” in this context mean almost the same thing.
It seems to me like тише gets used where we’d say “quiet” in English, so it’s probably more accurate in context the way it is than translating literally.
