Tom did not look back.
“Tom didn’t think back” - when this says “Tom did not look back” does it mean he was forward thinking? As in he didn’t like thinking of the past?

You can “tänka tillbaka på något”: “Tom tänkte inte tillbaka på gamla tider”, but as written it’s a bit terse.
