“Tom slipped out the back door.” I can see that “infiltrarsi” means to penetrate or infiltrate, so “slip in” would be a valid translation, but I can’t find any instances of the word being used in the other direction. It’s like saying, “he entered out.” Perhaps it can be used this way. I’d really appreciate hearing from any native speakers on this question.
Hi Hab. This certainly seems to be a bit of a “pizza” no? My trusty translator gives “Tom è scappato dalla porta sul retro”. However (with correct spelling) it does translate this phrase as “Tom slipped out the back door”. Perhaps it’s a bit like the double negative, we just have to learn it. Stay well.
