Tom nie będzie umiał się z tobą dogadać - he doesn’t know how to communicate/ get along with this person

I don’t think it’s about knowledge in any case – it’s about emotions processing, which is a skill which Tom lacks or is not good at. He might not know how to process frustration or he knows but he can’t. Maybe knowledge is a distinction between umiał/potrafił here, but it doesn’t make a difference for me due to imprecise language used in the sentence.
