Is this correct? The English sentence sounds mostly like he has two things to choose from (e.g., coffee or tea), while the German sentence sounds (I think, I could be wrong here) like he has two choices to make (e.g., what to drink and what movie to watch).
Do you mean that the German sentence sounds to you like he has two situations in which he has to make a choice? As in, he first has to decide what to drink and then what movie to watch?
Or that the difference between languages is in the type of choices to be made, ie. objects vs plans?
Or is it something else?
