“Kasti” in Indonesian (or “Kastie” in Dutch) is similar to but different from “baseball” or “softball”. Each team of a “kasti” game has 12 players whereas 9 players in a baseball game. Kasti is popular among elementary school pupils especially in East Java regions.
Here is an example video clip of a Kasti game played by Indonesian kids. It looks like there is no pitcher from the opponent team. Rather, a teammate tosses a ball to his fellow hitter.
