Tom’s not finished.
Really confused by Klar here. Google also says it means finished but I thought it meant “clear, ready, lucid, distinct, bright, decided, distinct, ready”. Little help, please

“Tom isn’t finished” is the natural interpretation. When used as a predicative, I would say it defaults to mean “finished”, except when the other interpretation is obvious, like in “vädret är klart”, “svaret var klart och koncist”.
For “not clear”, use “oklar”, “vag”, “diffus”, “otydlig”, etc.
