I don’t know what the AI says, but after consulting a Latin grammar I’m inclined to say that the English translation is correct, however strange it may sound. Apparently, timeo ut cadat indeed translates to “I fear that he may not fall”, whereas timeo ne cadat translates to “I fear that he may fall”.
