I thought the normal word is teachers, no professors. ¿Is it for the dialect, American o British?

In Britain we call school teachers teachers and university lecturers lecturers. A professor in Britain is a very high rank equivalent of a university chair, head of department, or a don.

In the US, teachers at the universities (colleges) are called professors.
