When should we say “spiacente” and when should we say “spiacenti”? Are they interchangeable? Does their use depend on the context?

I’m thinking one is informal (i), the other formal (e) though your thinking about context makes me wonder. Aspettiamo …

My understanding is that “spiacente” is short for “io sono spiacente”, I’m sorry, and “spiacenti” for “siamo spiacenti”, we’re sorry. Could this be a king or queen speaking? :slight_smile:

Thank you for explanation. It may have something to do with singular vs plural. Nevertheless, I am still wondering, cause the rest of the sentence is “non me ne sono accorto” i.e. io instead of noi.
