The context of the English sentence is not immediately apparent (i.e. that it referring to attacks.) When I read the sentence in isolation, as a native speaker, my first impression is that they are referring to someone who made many charges on a credit card, or alternatively, that a person charged a battery or a device with a battery, many times. Additional context might be helpful, and in the absence of context I would prefer we find a different way of wording the English translation, that is not as misleading without context, like saying “they attacked many times”.
