Si je pouvais réarranger l'alphabet, je supprimerais « N ».

The translation given is “If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would put U and I together.”

Would someone explain this one? I can’t think of the French words that would give the English meaning. Tu, vous, je - how does “N” come into it?

Indeed, sounds like a mistake. And beyond the fact that this sentence should be literally translated as “Si je pouvais réarranger l’alphabet, je mettrais U et I ensemble.”, it just cannot be translated as a joke.

Thank you - I thought I must be missing some common French word/s where taking out the N would give a similar meaning to the English sentence.

Yes, it’s an error. See tatoeba…and there is a request from the author that the sentence be deleted.
