Sembrava trovarsi bene con la sua vita e il suo lavoro.

English Translation

He seemed to enjoy his life and his work.

“Trovarsi bene” is “to enjoy”. This is just one example with “trovarsi” in the whole CM! Is it that uncommon? Probably because we deal with the conjugated forms all the time.

“Enjoy” feels stronger than “trovarsi bene”. It is more like “to feel good or comfortable”.

Other than that, sentence feels a bit like a direct translation of the English sentence, I would drop the possessives:

“Sembrava trovarsi bene (che si trovasse bene) con la vita e il lavoro.”
