Would “maiale” work here?

we had a discussion about the flying pigs, remember?
So, if I did understand mike-lima correctly:
If you want to say
“You such a pig (for not taking a shower in two years)” you can say “maiale”
but for
“You such a pig (for chasing everthing that wears a skirt)” it has to be “porco”.

That’s my thinking, too. But I thought I had better check. As a learner I think I should just not say these things, though.

Yes, you are absolutely right.
In a foreign language or foreign country it is always better to err on the side of formality, so I’d fall back on
“Non mi piace il suo comportamento”
for all kinds of
