Seberapapun buruknya, tetap tidak ada tempat yang lebih baik ketimbang rumahku.

English Translation

Let it be ever so humble, there is no place like home.

“Seberapa pun” in two words is the proper spelling. There are only 12 words that are conjugated with “pun” as one word, according to Kompas (a leading Indonesian newspaper).

Also, the Indonesian-English pair doesn’t match because it was translated from the Japanese sentence: “どんなにみすぼらしかろうとわが家にまさる所はない。” The Japanese sentence was mistranslated from English.

No matter how shabby it is, nothing is better than my home.

That’s the meaning of the Japanese sentence. And “seberapa pun buruknya” in Indonesian means “no matter how bad it is”. Please update the English translation.

English Translation

Let it be ever so humble, there is no place like home.

The Japanese sentence means

No matter how shabby it is, nothing is better than my home.

EDIT

The second comment was posted on the JAPANESE from English course. However, the two comments are mixed up in the same SD page… I have filed this incident in the bug report here. Sorry for the inconvenience.
