You’ll have to confirm it with the madrelingue, but I am almost positive the answer is yes. Nulla and niente are almost always interchangeable except in the case of fixed expressions; such as “chi troppo vuole nulla stringe”. I don’t believe anyone says “niente stringe” in this case.
