I’d not come across “stamani” yet, I was expecting “stamattina”, but I just realised that it’s essentially the same construction as “tomorrow” with “domani” → “stamani” (~ “this morrow”).

I believe they are interchangeable. I heard it mainly in Lucca so it’s used a lot in Tuscany but less elsewhere, so mia amica Cristina told me.
