I’m not sure what you are asking. It could be any time when your finger slipped? Fumble the tv remote, radio button, cut yourself dicing vegetables, whatever.
Sometimes it is said in jest when one person wants something and then claims their finger slipped. (And now it’s on my favorite radio station!)
