If it’s truly “We’re screwed” then it should be baisés. Without the s on the end means it’s “One is screwed.” and not specifically us.

We’re screwed.
Not true. In French ‘on’ is grammatically treated as a singular verb but understood as a plural, like the ‘royal we’. Everyday French uses ‘on’ in this way constantly!

Lawless French says it can go either way after ON in those cases where the past participle or adjective would be required to agree (as if ON were ILS or ELLES) https://www.lawlessfrench.com/grammar/subject-pronoun-on/
Duolingo does mark it wrong with ON if the adjectives and past participles are not plural/ feminine (when it would be required) as if the ON were ILS or ELLES.
I think I got this right, feel free to add or correct me, I’m not sensitive. I want it to be right.
