English Translation
Stamps are not sold in this store.
Like in this sententece ? Non si vendono. I mobili and francobolli - si vendono.
Stamps are not sold in this store.
Like in this sententece ? Non si vendono. I mobili and francobolli - si vendono.
This is an interesting parallel with the “I mobili vendono bene” sentence.
In this case, actually “Non vendono francobolli” would be valid without resorting to tricks, as in “They don’t sell stamps”; but if you want to preserve the passive construction of the English sentence, “Non si vendono” is better. I also feels it is more common to express it this way, maybe because you don’t directly blame the store.
