How would you differentiate between the past of “to teach” and “to learn”? Nauczyć się means to teach someone, and if you want to say I taught someone then “nauczyłem się” which is the same for I learned as in this sentence.

“To teach” in Polish is just “nauczyć”, without the reflexive “się”.
“To learn” on the other hand, is “nauczyć się” (literally: “to teach yourself”).
