The sentence is ambiguous in English, as “keines” could mean neither which always means two, or none which always means all of an indeterminate number.

Right.
But if you want to express that difference in German, you can’t do it in one word:
“Mir gefällt keines der beiden Bilder”. Or: “Mir gefällt keines der vielen/ganzen Bilder.”
Please note: I do not like the “von” in these sentences but I don’t think it’s wrong.
