Can I take it that “scordato” and “dimenticato” are practically synonymous, and the latter being more frequently used?

Ciao a tutti, isn’t this “I forgot to tell her something”? Doesn’t “dirle” mean “tell her” rather than “tell you”?
I resign myself to the fact that I’ll never understand Italian very well.
That is indeed the natural translation that comes to mind, but I’m quite certain it can also be read as formal, singular you.

Non gettare la spugna;-) I still have to think twice after many years of learning but a bit more context does help. Also learning to think in Italian is half the battle. A dopo👋

Morbrorper hits the nail on the head - I forget about pesky indirect object pronouns where “le” is formal “you”. And also in this question I missed until now that I wouldn’t say it, instead I would say “mi sono scordata…”
