Definitely something to be mindful of, thanks for raising it @svott, and welcome to the Italian sentence discussions 
And to make matters even potentially more confusing; “risparmi” is also the 3rd person singular imperativo (in addition to 2nd person singular indicativo presente), which could also technically apply to this sentence (if addressing someone with formal you).
