Is this the right word order? It sounds childish. I want to say, “Mi fate ridere molto.” or “Mi fate ridere tanto.” Is it OK for an adverb to precede the verb?

Yes, I think both are acceptable. As you know, adding a word at the end usually provides emphasis, but whether that is the case here I cannot say.
