In general it means ‘hurt’ but contextually it can be translated as ‘sore’ here. It’s just how English and German use different expressions for (more or less) the same.

Technically, you could also have injured both feet simultaneously, but then you would say: ich habe mir die Füße verletzt.
Another valid translation to sore feet is wunde Füße / Füße wundgelaufen.
