If you want to translate from the English "they look cool, you can use “sembrano fighi”, or “sembrano forti”.
“Calmi” means calm, quiet, relaxed.
So if you want to translate the Italian sentence, You could use “they look calm (or relaxed, or quiet)”.

Ciao @morbrorper come va? Here I wonder if it depends on context. “Ehi, guarda quei ragazzi, sembrano fighi!” This translation “They look cool” I find a bit odd as calmi significa quiet, still, sedate etc, a very different meaning to fighi. I think “fighi” is just the cool word for “cool” as in the latest style or hit song etc.
