“sub rosa” is not common speak. I would recommend changing the translation to confidential instead.

I had to look it up myself:

[Latin sub rosā, under the rose (from the practice of hanging a rose over a meeting as a symbol of confidentiality) : sub, under + rosā, ablative of rosa, rose.]

Let’s keep this conversation sub rosa.

I feel this is a translation 99.9% of people won’t understand.

“Sub rosa” is not a very good learning translation, but it would be excellent for a character in a story where the translator wanted to indicate a particular social and educational background. It’s a little pretentious.
