Lääkäri päätti leikata yhdellä kertaa.

English Translation

The doctor decided to operate at once.

I feel like “välittömästi” or “heti” would have been a better translation than “yhdellä kertaa”.
Doesn’t “yhdellä kertaa” mean “in one go”, or “at once” in the sense of “eat them all at once”, and not what it means in this sentence (i.e. immediately)?

This sounds like a literal translation from Swedish “med en gång”, meaning “at once”.
