Could we meet privately?
What does “vier Augen” stand for?
Literally “under four eyes” meaning “between you and me” or “just the two of us”.
“Privately” is not a perfect translation because e.g. three persons can meet privately but of course not “unter vier Augen”.

If I were translating this in a novel I might try “face to face”.

“face to face” works well, but if I’m understanding correctly I think “one on one” would be another good alternative
What if a person unluckily have just one eye?
Ask our Kanzler Scholz for a meeting “unter drei Augen”.
