English Translation
Yesterday, I went to the market to buy some sweet oranges.
“Jeruk peras” doesn’t refer to “sweet oranges” but “tangerines” or “Mandarin oranges” in Indonesia. Check out the images on Tokopedia (a well-known e-commerce). These two fruits are different in size and taste.
Also, you can easily peel tangerines by hand. “Peras” in Indonesian means “to press” or “to squeeze”. What Westerners call “sweet oranges” cannot be easily squeezed.
The English translation should be revised.
