I don’t think I’ve seen jellybeans all that often in germany, so I wouldn’t know what to call them. Google translate calls them “Geleebonbons”, which sounds fine.
But while it’s true that I wouldn’t call them “Gummibärchen”, the word is indeed not reserved for just bear-shaped jelly. It’s common to hear it used for basically anything that’s gelatin-based, especially if it’s made by Haribo, who invented the Gummibärchen. Nowadays there are also gelatin substitutes, but they’re still called Gummibärchen.
