Since fort is an adverb in this sentence (not an adjective), I think that fort should be fortement?
Any different opinion?

I am not a french native, but I have found that “fort” is one of those adjectives that also serves as adverb in its original form (and without variation)
In this case, the word is used to mean “very/very much,” and that seems to be a special meaning, just as “bien” can mean a similar thing. (Je veux bien…)
Even when it means “loud” or “hard,” I see the same thing. It uses the original adjective/invariable form of the word.
For example: She speaks loudly → Elle parle fort.

I know that some words are both adjective and adverb, I checked on this one and didn’t find it before I posted. After you posted, I looked again and boom, there it was. Thanks for posting.
