I think it’s time for me to split.
Is rompre a good translation for split (to get away quickly)?
Rompre (see meaning 4 or 5) is to split (up), as in end a relationship.
To split, as in to leave, I would translate as “se casser”.
“Je pense qu’il est temps que je me casse”
