Fauteuil literally means armchair - I don’t know why Tatoeba has so many non-literal translations like this. It’s extremely inconvenient for language learners.

Missing the context, I can’t guess what is wrong.
But this sentence is perfectly fine by itself.
If one needs to say that he should physically go back to his seat which happens to be an armchair, one would say this sentence.
Yes but we are trying to translate directly from English. Without context, how are people to guess the correct word?
For context, the original English says “my seat”. Perhaps “ma place” would be a more appropriate translation.

This is an issue with how Clozemaster links the cloze sentences’ notes directly to the forum without giving the original cloze sentence.
English Translation
I should get back to my seat.
Is fauteuil a lounge/ easy chair? Or is it any armchair like a seat on a bus or plane? Because usually we wouldn’t use easy chair in this way (here in the midwest US). It is the “should” that throws it off. I can’t think of a normal circumstance where I “should” get back to my easy chair, unless I have a broken leg or something.

canapé / sofa
(I also use the word “fauteuil” to describe these.)
