So ‘oljudet’ is kind of a negative of ‘ljud’ in Swedish? That is interesting. In English and Danish we don’t have an equivalent word. We have to use ‘noise’ or ‘stöj’

I think you have a similar feature in Danish, using u.

I am beginning to realise that there are a lot of words that are the same in Danish and Swedish but with slightly different meanings. Not surprisingly, it is very hard for me to override the meaning in my native language. I never imagined that this would be a problem when I started learning Swedish at the beginning of this year.
