I’m sure you’re very busy.

Is this a good translation?

To me it sounds like “I’m confident that you’re very busy.” And I wouldn’t say that.

“I’m confident that you can do this (without my help),” sure. But the English example I gave before that sounds weird.

I’m wondering if it’s similar with the Swedish translation “Jag är övertygad om att du är väldigt upptagen.”

I would generally translate “I’m sure (that)” with “Jag är säker på att”. In this instance I would phrase it as “Du är säkert väldigt upptagen.”
