Not how I’d expect this to be translated. “Hate” is a bit too strong. “Coma” means more indifference rather than hate. “Tom doesn’t care for Mary” would be how I’d translate it.
Perhaps if someone is being painfully polite they might say it like that, as other ways to express hate in Gaelic can come across as harsh and even rude when you talk about another person with those idioms, but this is not a correct English translation, in my opinion.
